Pooling Water on a Hardwood Floor in Mount Kisco
When a water pipe breaks during the night and spews pressurized liquid onto a hardwood floor, bad results can happen. The tongue and groove joints, unfortunately, absorbed sufficient water to begin the cupping effect, as shown in the Before Photo. SERVPRO technicians can vacuum up the pooling water, and then "tent" the cupped areas with 6-mil poly sheeting to concentrate on suctioning out the remaining moisture from between the floorboards and the supporting joists.
